Help! Raising money so I can go to college.

It's been ages and I hate that this is the first post I've done in a while but here goes nothing...

Well this worked when raising funds to go to E3 and I’m hoping this shall once again prove to be a prudent step once more.

I am a girl suffering for stupid mistakes. Mistakes that have unfortunately affected my credit in a negative way. Not only that but those close to me have made it clear they suffer from poor credit and cosigning would turn out a negative. Yay. I make $9.90 an hour while working and have about 1k to my name as it is. I have already taken the steps to acquire financial aid and have received the awards package. Unfortunately the awards package takes care of but a fraction of the costs to attend one year at Digipen.

I have applied for scholarships, loans, and what not and unfortunately so far nothing has come through but I am an optimistic person and hope that if not through loans there has to be some other way to acquire the funds needed to go to school.

Out of the 26k the school has said will be used for freshman year (including rent, food, tuition, books, fees, airplane tickets, moving, etc) I still need 18k. I am not stopping with this petition for help. With so little time available I have indeed become desperate. I shall be writing the chairman of the company whom I work for as well as a few other foundations.

The program I have registered for is the Bachelors of Fine Arts in Production Animation.

Attending this school and actually taking the courage to enroll when lately my life has been nothing but one stressful event after another was probably one of the most important steps I have ever taken.

There is nothing I desire more than to complete my education, to get a better job, and of course succeed in life.

Well where to begin...

Well the holidays are officially over! WHOOOOO!!!

I have decided not to got o E3 this year. I'm a little bummed out but hey whatever. If Nick can't go, I can't think of a reason to go without him. :) I like my trips with him better anyways.

So I checked the release date of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess yesterday. Nintendo pushed it back to June. Nintendo loves to tease and I can't help but find myself still waiting with bated breath. Fuckers. XD

Hmm what else... addicted to Animal Crossing: Wild World. Can't see what's "wild" about it though I certainly like the cuteness factor. Joey the duck is my main squeeze. Seems to have a deep relationship with a persona known as the "Lasagne Fairy" who he says delivers him with "cheesy delights" in the middle of the night. Fucker is cheating on me damn it! XD

Hehe moving along, I'm still lost in the current of FF VII Fanfiction. I'm such a loser. :) Speaking of Final Fantasy... I recently watched a new Dirge of Cerberus commercial. Lucrecia was in it naturally, and well I couldn't help but be washed over with disappointment when I noticed they decided to show her preserved in that crystal formation in the secret cave.

Keep her dead there okay Square-Enix? Please?

She may be a beaut but she let Hojo impregnate her man! Ugh! Gross! She's used goods Vince! Don't go near the grossness!

*shifty eyes* *ahem* I certainly hope they have some closure, but eh nothing of the romantic sort. Of course if they do it's nothing a little "selective memory" loss can't fix! :D

i had two days off and pretty much the whole afternoon to myself.

the last couple of days have been really cruddy.

but hey i got a tabelt for christmas! i was practicing with it some more today and its so much different from using a mouse. i think i may just stick with sketching and take my time coloring with the pad later.

i should probably stick to trying to sketch with the tablet. ah well.

Ok so after reading Dahne's fanfiction I now have a slight appetite for yaoi. Why, Dahne? Why have you plagued my mind with this desire? *hug*

Anyways, while at Barnes and Noble I finally found Clamp's latest series installment. The series originally named Lawful Drug but changed when it crossed the states so the intent of the name would make sense over here.

Anyways while waiting to meet up with Nick's mom I found the first volume of said series and decided to take a read through. I nearly choked on my hot coacoa when the first display of subtle male/male love skittered across the page.

I desperately wanted more.

I am so glad I told Nick I wanted volumes 1, 2, and 3 for christmas.

Man he better deliver. hehe

Anyways from what I could tell Legal Drug is going to be fantastic. Volume 1 leaves you with enouh questions and the little parody at the end was just heee XD

The men involved are of course as lovely as ever.

There was one thing that ihave well... when they explained the story I suppose I don't know how to explain it. Basically to spoil the first mission these two characters go they are told they need to find a book. Now one fo the guys has this power that when he touches something he can see memories. Visions.

Well when he enters this house and well in this room is a rather large figtree with fish swimming around. Standing in the room besides the boy is a very beautiful woman.

Even though he's never met her he says he can't shake the feeling that he knows her. She goes on to say that she is this fig tree and that she is very much in love with the man who created her.

anyways fast foward and one of the characters explain that fig trees never bloom with fruit.

Anyways... I enjoyed what I read and if Nick knows anything that will save his life... :( he neeeds to get me the volumes! Need! Must need! More~!

So after watching the Kingdom Hearts II trailer for the fifth time in a row, I am gladly reminded about how much I love my Emo Squall and Angsty Cloud. So hot. Yum. I figured Rikku and Yuna would be in it, funnier still that they resemble pixies. Yuna still on bottom of heroine list.

Vivi looks like he makes an appearance as well.

There's supposed to be a whole lot more from the FF clan making an appearance. Hoping for either Vincent, Tifa, or Reno. Rumors say Setzer. No idea what started it though.

The trailer also featured Ms Utada's song for the game. It grows on you. I like it alot more and can't wait to get it.

I would have played chain of memories but honestly? no time. oh well.

time to go and do things. like... watch the trailer again.

Welcome to Silent Hill

So I read some more fanfiction (gasp! shock! awe!) And... I've fallen in love (well more in love ^o^) with Reno of the Turks.

Man some people really know how to write that guy to life. He's got this super sarcastic snarky kinda attitude.

Favorite line from a fic as he's trying to get the hell away from one of the Avalanche members: "[blahblah] Be sure to give the group the finger for me when you see 'em. [blahblah]" Oh be still my beating heart. XD

Back from Seattle

Finally back from Seattle. Each visit and somehow it gets less and less painful to leave. I kinda don't like that but I understand it.

This time I was FINALLY able to meet Nick's friends. ^_^

We went and saw the Doom movie. It could have been worse. I enjoyed it though. Main reason being Karl Urban. I love that guy. So hot.

Then the next day we had a lan party at Nick's playing World of Warcraft. We went into Sunken Temple and destroyed that sleeping dragon. Shade of Eranikus I think it was. Like the trinket we got. ^_^

I also was able to meet up with luvable huggable Shea. Sweet guy that Shea. He went to the Doom movie with us. :D

Let's see what else... While Nick was at school I played his Nintendo DS (I had forgottem mine at home... much to my dismay as i had a relatively boring flight to and fro or whatever). Anyways the game I played was Phoenix Write that Ace attorney game.

I really enjoyed it. You're a defense attorney and it's your job to make sure your clients are found innocent through evidence and contractictions in their statements. Some of the things you need to look for can be staring you right in the face and it's like GAWD why didn't i see that!?

I recommend it. :)

Hmm. That's about all that was done while up there. I had a good time. Missed working as silly as that sounds. Happy and sad to be back for obvious reasons.

Well its that time of the year again.

Final Fantasy VII OST Review:

It’s very full of nostalgic feelings. Few tunes are like omg must have on repeat, others I have to make sure the volume is turned down or skipped all together. I know how utterly blasphemous! O_o

I shall right the song from 1 – 10, 10 being omgsex while 1 shall be the least liked. So let’s begin shall we?

Disc 1:

1: The Opening –

Well there isn’t much to be said here. It’s an orchestrated version of the beginning tune from the game. I guess if I could get the surround sound working this would sound fricking fantastic. The song opens up for what you hope shall be epic and awesome. Rated 8.

2: Yakusoku no Chi – The Promised Land –

Very chanty. Has a very solemn kick to it and makes you feel like you’re visiting some sort of monk monastery in some mountains far away. It’s a very soothing tune, one that had me at the FF: AC so I could listen to the song in the background. Rated 8.

3. Beyond the Wasteland –

I instantly recognized the introduction from the game. I was so proud of myself for that. XD It still retained it’s creepyness and made you wonder if it was ever going to go into the loud part from the original. Instead it leads into a faced paced song filled with strings, percussion. It made me think of Icey’s belly dancing songs. XD Rated 7.

4. Sign –

Piano. Couldn’t recognize the song. Not sure if it was supposed to be a remake of anything. Most likely not but I’m most likely wrong. Later in the song the piano is joined by some creepy lady chorus. Wasn’t high up there in replayability. Rated 3.

5. Tifa’s Theme (Piano Version) –

Okay my bias is kicking in.... no ... no... I love Tifa. Bah. Okay moving along~ I was a little disappointed that they decided to use a piano rendition of her theme but regardless I was still okay with it. Still a fan of the original however. It’s calm and soothing. Rated 6.

6. For the Reunion –

Starts off with Piano, getting louder and louder as the introduction plays out and gets joined with some percussion and some other thing I couldn’t identify. XD I liked it. Loved when the electric guitars started to kick in. Rated 7.

7. Tatakau Mono-Tachi (Piano Version) [Those who Fight] –

This was one of those songs that definitely left me with WHY THE PIANO VERSION!? The piano rendition however still holds the upbeat and rhythm of the original although for some reason I just felt it was lacking, especially for the scene that it was used for. Oh well. I still enjoyed the tune. Love you Nobuo. Rated 6.

8. Water –

A neat rendition of Aeris’s Theme. Not letting my bias for Tifa get in the way of judging this awesome song. This was one of my favorites and have had it on repeat for a while. It has this calmness to it that just makes you sigh with contentment. I really enjoyed it. Loved the electric guitar and piano. Rated 9.

9. Materia –

Starts of with a weird creepy vibe. It feels messy. I’m not sure if that’s the right term to use. Very short. Didn’t like it. Rated 1.

10. Black Water –

This song is just full of anger and attitude. I like it. ^o^ I don’t really have much to expand on it. Loud guitars, can tell something is up to no good. It gets a little mellow then picks back up a few seconds after. Rated 7.

11. Aeris’s Theme (Piano Version)

More piano renditions~ For Aeris’s theme the piano rendition fits. It seems to just be natural (not sure if that’s the correct term to use heh). It’s precious. It’s light and still is able to hold the original feel of the tune. Still love Tifa more though. ^_^ Rated 8.

12. Battle in the Forgotten City –

Has an awesome intro that is upbeat then the percussion starts to kick in. Cue in the chorus then they fade out nicely with their creepyness. Rinse Repeat. Then it really starts to pick up with the strings. I really liked the song. You can just picture two people going at it. Rated 9.

13. Violater –

Kicks off with the electric guitar. After carefully listening to the song it sounded like a remade version of the tune when Cloud and company are climbing up the wall in the slums. You know when you climb up it and you see the damage cause from Sector 7’s collapse? I’m most likely wrong though. Still enjoyed the tune. Rated 6.

14. Kita no Daikuudou (FF7 AC Version) [The Great Cave in the North] –

Starts off creepy, feels messy but then the tune starts to kick in with the piano. Light creepy chorus feel. This sounded like it was a remake of the Meteor theme. You know once it appeared and it had that omg we’re gonna die theme wherever you traveled? The song is short but likable. Rated 5.

Disc 2.

1: Tenrai – Divinity 1 -

Starts off with a choir then the trumpets kick in followed by more chorus. Loved it when the percussion kicked in. A lot of images are conjured up. I really like songs that love to stir up the imagination helping to kick a muse in gear. Rated 9.

2. Tatakau Mono-Tachi (FF7 AC Version) –

Remember me whining about the piano version of this song? Talk about being ecstatic when treated to this gem! You can feel the excitement! Love the electric guitars and the weird techno thing they add to it. I really enjoyed this song. It just gets you in the mood to kick some butt or break a pencil! ARGH! Rated 9.

3. Sara ni Tatakau Mono-Tachi (FF7 AC Version) [Again, Those who Fight] –

I was a little disappointed with this rendition. Not sure why really. It just didn’t seem to have that same level of excitement as the previous and this is supposed to be a Boss’s theme! XD Was still likable but wasn’t one of my favorites. Rated 7.

4. Tenrai – Divinity 2 –

The introduction helps shove a muse into a chair and start producing some works of her own. Loved the horns and the strings. I will say I didn’t really care all that much for Aeris’ theme being thrown in the mix. It felt a little out of place even though I know it has to do with what’s going on. When it comes to an end I was disappointed. Rated 6.

5. Encounter –

53 seconds of build up. That’s all there is too it. Rated 2.

6. Chase of the Highway –

Starts up very upbeat! Electric guitars, percussion. It’s all there. I think the highlight of the song for me was when it got to about 3:18 and boom the Turk’s theme. If I can find a way to edit the song to just have that on repeat I will be a very happy Winde. Rated 8.

7. Savior –

Starts off with strings and some percussion seeps in. Then it goes crazy. After a bit some electric guitar kicks in. It had this suave?-way of coming in and I loved it. Rated 7.

8. J-E-N-O-V-A (FF7 AC Version) –

I can not rave more about this version. I think this is definitely one of my favorites. Nobuo and the Black Mages really out did themselves on this one. Rated 10.

9. Sairan: Katatsubasa no Tenshi –Advent: One-Winged Angel-

O_O New lyrics. They definitely fit the movie. Now the placemen t for this song I felt was a little weird in the movie but regarding who it pertains to it is totally forgivable. ^_^ It starts off in the usual orchestra but then the electric guitars decide to join in and I melted in rapture. Now when the singers kick in they have this... echo to their voices and it’s just creepy that it’s awesome! Now the other renditions I never really cared for the song personally, but this rendition is definitely a favorite. I love how the song at 3:20 continues on. So good. Rated 10.

10. Cloud Smiles –

It’s the happy theme. I have nothing against Cloud smiling but this song? O_o It just felt out of place. It’s still likable but wasn’t up there in the favorite department. It’s warm, full of awe and cuteness. Rated 5.

11. Ending Credits –

What Final Fantasy ANYTHING would be complete with out this gem? It’s not my favorite rendition of it however. Rated 6.

12. Calling –

A Japanese 80’s song that was a hit and was picked as Advent Children’s Image song regarding the film’s theme of family. It’s uh okay. Reading over the lyric’s I didn’t get the family feel but more like change. Moving on from one thing to another. I could be wrong on the interpretation. Not to much I can say. ^_^; Rated 5.

Okay this ends Winde’s take on the soundtrack. This was just one person’s take on it and has like uh no merit or anything.

Missy.

One of the dogs died the other night.

David thought it would be a good idea to tell me this while I was in the middle of closing.

Not so good an idea.

I loved that dog. Even though technically it was his dog, she became mine when I was the one who cared for her when she was hurt or had to go to the emergency clinics.

David seems to think she was dead for a full day.

I... I wish I hadn’t been working. I should have known and yet I didn’t.

David seems to recall that Missy had been choking on something while she got loose and tried to help her before putting her back and then Dad took her back. Whether she was choking still or not David didn’t know.

And... I think with what little I do know ... for some reason I feel the need to blame dad.

I... wish I wasn’t working when it happened.

I shouldn’t be pointing fingers. I know I shouldn’t... but something inside me just wants to lash out at him or anyone. Even myself.

But... I’m going to refrain and mourn over her death. Remember her. She’s gone.

I loved that dog. She was such an innocent little thing. Always hungry. Whenever you tried to pick her up she’d roll her heavy self to her back so you could rub her tummy instead.

She was part schnauzer and something else. We never knew... but she was just lovely. Dark brown coat... sparkly brown eyes. Lovely.

I hope where ever you are Missy... that you are relaxing in the sun like you loved, chewing on a dog bone... and may you roll over on your back, wagging that shaggy tail as your new master approaches.
